Privacy Policy

Our Approach to Privacy

MacPrune is designed with privacy as a core principle. The desktop application scans and cleans entirely on your Mac: it does not collect personal data, upload your files, or run analytics inside the app. This policy explains what limited data our website collects and how the application behaves.

The MacPrune Application

All scanning and cleaning happens locally on your Mac. The application does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, location)
• File names, paths, or contents
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Automatic crash reports
• Cookies or tracking inside the app
• Advertising or marketing data

The only network activity in the application is optional Pro license activation, which verifies your license key with our server. No file information or personal data is transmitted during activation.

Website Data

This website (macprune.com) uses basic analytics (Google Analytics) to understand visitor traffic, and standard server logs that record download statistics and approximate geographic location. We use this information in aggregate to improve the site and understand where MacPrune is being used. We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party marketing tools.

Contact Form

If you contact us through our contact form, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide (name, email, message). This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is never shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Beyond the website analytics described above, we do not integrate with third-party advertising or data collection services. The MacPrune application itself has no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and your files never leave your Mac.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
